Sunday - Haile Plantation, Florida

Today I visited a local Florida home built in 1856.
The interior walls are covered with signatures, shopping lists and drawings made
by previous residents and invited guests.

It was over 90F and the combination of open layout and 16' ceilings encouraged a breeze...
but it was still quite hot.

Still, how lovely it would be to sit on the wide porch with a tall glass of iced tea, listening to the cicadas and knitting...even better during a rainstorm...

  3. I love that there are drawings on the walls. I remember when I was house hunting, I looked at a home that had a poem on the wall that someone had written in pencil. I wish I had written down the words. I hope you have a wonderful trip J. :)
