Friday

Photos from my bulletin board at work.

While stopped in traffic on my way home I saw this homeless
man sitting in the park, looking at the trees.

Still working on the books.
On my way to the table now.

Have a great weekend.

Wednesday - Yesterday's Walk

Yesterday I took a long, slow walk around the Pool Wildlife Sanctuary.
The woods were full of flowering trees, ground cover and many birds.

Bee hives were quiet, an old honey soaked tray glowed in the sun.
The small pond was teeming with tadpoles all gathered around the
perimeter to warm themselves.

A Common Merganser and his two female companions quickly
passed by as I sat by the stream.
I love the auburn heads on the females.
Such primitive looking birds.

More photos of my walk tomorrow.

Tuesday - Morning

A bright but chilly morning, my day off.
Cheerful yellow tulips.

Laundry waiting to be put away.
The basket reminds me of a ship, sun upon its bow,
heading boldly out to sea.
Perhaps I am in need of an adventure...!

Miss Sophie's ever watchful eye.
Although, when caught, suddenly the bit of dust on the
door jam was the object of inspection the entire time.

Sunday

Another year's inventory completed.

I am exhausted and have spent most of my day napping,
reading and cutting paper.
Three copies started, three more to go.
(I'm quite out of practice!)

The Dogwoods are beginning to bloom and a bowl of
strawberries for snacking.

Saturday

An overcast morning with predictions of rain this afternoon.

The Doves were preening as I began a new book project.
Another tunnel book with simple paper cutting.
I plan on making a small edition so I can share with friends.

Inventory at work tonight.
Out of exhaustion comes...something!

Thursday

Today I came home to find the sweetest care package
waiting at my door.

Thank you so much, my dear friend.

Wednesday - The Rose Garden

I have been working very long hours...

A chance drive by the Rose Garden on my way home tonight
proved to be my best decision of the week.

Weeping Cherry trees are blooming!
They usually don't flower until mid April.

A fragrant Magnolia spills petals with reckless abandon.

I wish...

Sunday

Last night I went camping.
It was a mild night and the fire burned late.

The previous year I had planted some grape hyacinths and was
happy to see they were coming up.

Downy Woodpecker and Mourning Dove outside my window.

I stopped by the grocery store to pick up some cleaning supplies
and couldn't resist the campfire colored spray roses...

St Patrick's Day Parade

I had intended to go shopping in Downtown Bethlehem today
and was surprised to find there was a parade on Main Street.

I've not been to a parade since I was a little girl.
There were festively adorned police horses, bagpipes, kilts,
plenty of dogs and high school marching bands.
I do have a soft spot for men in kilts!

It was a beautiful and fun day.
A happy accident.

Thursday - Coffee Table

A candle that smells of honey and a favorite vase.
Very busy at work lately...

Wednesday - Book Covers

While sorting through my apartment over the past few weeks
I rediscovered some old books with lovely covers.

Tuesday - It's here!

sigh...Spring is here...

The Robins are back and wake me with their laughing calls,
and the very tops of the tallest trees are budding.

A very simple tunnel book.

Sunday

Such a warm, bright, lovely morning.

The green and brown vase is one I made.
The exquisite blue on green crystalline was made by a dear friend.

The Weeping Pussy Willow was in the last chance bin
at the grocery store...my weakness for wayward plants.
