things that fly

It's been bitterly cold here with a wind chill bringing the
real feel temperature down to -35f.  Brrrrr!

A recent snow storm brought a flock of Robins to the treeline,
a bird I am not accustomed to seeing until mid March.

My flying fish paintings are now done and I've moved on to horses
suspended with balloons!
I may not possess the technical skill of Patrice
but I am thoroughly enjoying the process of painting again.

Friday is fast approaching!

  1. Happy new year to you, and thank you for the beautiful message you left for me on my blog. I hope your 2014 is filled with lots of happiness, peace and fulfilling creative adventures. My furry studio mate and I send chin tickles and hugs to Sophie too!
I hope you’re managing to keep warm (-35f is mind-bogglingly cold!) and that the robins’ feathers provide them with enough insulation against the cold.
Your floating horse painting is beautiful and has a wonderful quality of weightlessness. I’m looking forward to seeing more… happy painting!
